So, why are Hotel Prices In Toronto soaring? Is it really do to inflation or other contributing factors? Unfortunately prices are all about supply and demand. In conclusion, the pandemic essentially hurt the industry and only now is it slowly recovering. Just like the airline industry, the hospitality industry is having the same issues. Demand has increased and supply has not been able to keep up with the demand. As such Hotel Prices and other accommodations have dramatically increased. So what to do? There seems to be a growing trend with Apart-Hotels. What is exactly an Apart-Hotel? It is essentially a services apartment with no front desk.
Essentially everything like a hotel without the bells and whistles. But much lower hotel prices with no pool, no gym, no front desk, no lobby etc. This allows a lower nightly rate without compromising the main essentials such as clean well appointed rooms with other amenities such as kitchen facilities, yards, balconies, patios etc. Similarly, not to be confused with Airbnb as a lot of Apart-Hotels can be found on Google Travel and other major booking sites. If you are looking for the most cost effective hotel prices then be sure to Book Direct and Save. This way you will avoid the OTA (Outside Travel Agencies) fees. These fees are often buried in the nightly rates when using Booking.com, Expedia and other search engines. These fees can be as high as 20% but you will never see them when booking.
